That singular and unexpected move of yours was what i considered selfish, as it also took mum who did not trust us enough to fill the vacuum or play your role in her life. Today makes it 17 years that you are gone, but everything that you taught me as your first son has given me that sense of leadership and stability that made me become the man you have always wanted me to be. I wish you could come and see things for yourself. I am sure you will be so proud of your children whom you never spared the rod for. Knowing how you placed value on your name and humanity makes us want to do better and be better. Your son Ayodeji Makun made it into the Guinness World Records. Its not that bad though, but i think he needs to create more time for his family aside his passion for work. All your daughters are happily married and doing well at home and abroad. Your favourite girl Bola still carries everyone along, she never fails to remind us of how you followed the ways of God and led your family to His invaluable path. Lanre is now a big time event manager in the country. He even took us to took us to Owerri of recent to marry an ‘omo igbo’. Iba Ibidun, If you see our wives, i swear! You would wish to be us and come back to life. Yomi on the other hand ‘have joined gang’ in Lagos. The beards that you never allowed to escape your shaving stick, is the one he keeps alongside some other yellow things which i cannot tell you about. We have allowed him to enjoy his youth (like i did) before making the decision that will impact him forever. But tuhe most important thing is that he is highly focused and respected as one of the fashion designers in Nigeria. Anyways, we would all be lying if we said there weren’t times that we cry into our pillows wishing you and mum were here to just enjoy the fruits of your labour. We have come to realize that there’s nothing we can do to chan”
