In his philanthropic and Peace loving quest to curb youth restiveness in Akokwa in Ideato North local government Area of Imo state, Hon. Val Nzekwe has organized football competition for youth to identify individuals who want to take football as career and sponsor them to the next level.

Hon. Nzekwe who has joined the 2019 race to represent the people of Ideato Federal constituency at the lower chamber disclosed this during the competition as part of programmes to mark the 2019 Easter celebration in Akokwa community. He said sponsoring the winners from the competition will be one his numerous youth Empowerment and community development projects in Ideato Nation.

He stressed that winners from the competition will not just be presented with gifts and cash prizes but will be sponsored to take football career to professional level, adding that engaging the youth gainfully helps them to contribute their quota to nation building.

While other programmes are yet to be unveiled, the competition has in attendance ex- international, Emmanuel Babayero, Mobi Okwaraku, Ebere Obi, Director of Sports, Heartland FC, Imo State, Religious/Community Leaders and other well meaning Sons and Daughters of Akokwa Community.
