The 8th National President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Peter Igbifa has promised to abolish money politics within the foremost youth organization and present a level playing ground for all members going forward to enable every intending members of the council to vote and be voted for.
The new president who made the declaration during the weekend at an event in Abuja said it will be a step in the right direction if all are giving the opportunity to aspire to offering a better leadership services for the council without any limitation.
In the chat, Igbifa also commended President Buhari for the amnesty program for the people of the region and task the president not to heed to the advice of mischievous people praying it should be laid to rest which will be capable of bringing every youth back on the street in the region.
Peter however expressed readiness to work with all stakeholders in the region to deliver an unmatched leadership service to the council before the expiration of his led executive’s tenure.
Also speaking at the event, a stakeholder from the region, Dr. Victor Tulutu Briggs advised the IYC to cooperate with the new leadership in order for them to attain a great height as well as urging them to embrace peace which is the panacea for development and the betterment of the region at large.
